The Peruvian Association of Cosmetic Chemistry was an idea materialized by Dr. Miguel Vallier Gonzáles, Pharmaceutical Chemist, principal professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Vallier summoned other colleagues whose activity was carried out in the cosmetic area to found it on July 6, 1973. The APQC defined itself as a non-profit, multi-disciplinary, scientific-cultural institution, whose initial objective was to bring together professionals in the cosmetic field to promote the development of the cosmetic industry, promoting and conducting scientific update events.
